You can call me Rain! I’m a fine artist who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Texas. I specialize in painting stylized, dream-like landscapes, but I also enjoy exploring digital illustration and animation. My creative journey is a lifelong pursuit of free expression and bringing my ideal world to life.
For my landscape work, I think of each piece as a glimpse into a different part of the same universe. These environments aren’t necessarily designed to represent a specific place, but to instead embody a feeling. My favorite scenes to paint are atmospheric, picturesque, and have a feeling of seclusion. These places are often beautifully isolated because I find peace within solitude. I aim to create worlds I can get lost in. Ones where I can immerse myself when I need an escape from the mundanity and stressors of life.
Ultimately, I want the world that I paint to be the world in reality.
Video games are one of the biggest influences for my work. I’m drawn to games with vast, immersive worlds and engaging stories. There is no feeling like exploring a brand new world for the first time and making new discoveries. I also have a fascination with visual storytelling that extends to characters, character design, and animation. I enjoy merging elements of illustration and anime with both my traditional and digital painting. Of course, the boundless beauty of nature is a constant source of inspiration.
Outside of art, I’m a simple girl who loves home decorating, cats, and the color pink. (Specifically light pinks!) I hope my art brings you joy! Thank you for your time!
